Weiss closed her eyes and breathed. She acted like this for a few moments before opening them up again and looking at Raven. "Obviously, it's ice white but ... that doesn't deter from the fact that there's some variation in my wardrobe," Weiss said carefully and gestured with a hand. "What about you, miss purple?"

Raven giggled, "Isn't it obvious? You can definitely see I have a thing for pastels!" She soon stopped laughing as she realized that the joke probably didn't catch on to Weiss. "Uhm... did you get it? And yes, I am aware that was a bit of a stupid question..."

Weiss stared at Raven blankly. "I don't get those kind of jokes," Weiss told a Raven. She coughed a bit and placed her fist in front of her mouth to cover it up. "I ... don't get any jokes really. My siblings and I never really did that," she sighed quietly before recomposing and lying down on her bed, staring up at the ceiling.

Raven smiled in understanding. "It's fine. I hadn't gotten those types of jokes until recently. I guess Lydia's sense of humor kind of rubbed off on me (she's more the jokey type)." Lying back down on her bed, she asked another question in hopes that it would turn out better, "Do you have any favorite books?"

"Well, Snow White and the Seven Dwarves is one, but I also like some of the lesser known fairy tales like, um, the ice queen? I think that's one?" Weiss said uncertainly. She knew it was written by some brothers but other than that, she didn't know much else about the story's origin. "What about you? Any favourite stories?" Weiss asked, turning her head to look at Raven with a small smile.

Her eyes widened a little bit at her answer; she wasn't really expected a fairy tale answer, but fairy tales were cool as well. "I'm a fan of Snow White too. My mom used to read it to me a few times before bed when I was younger. Mom still continues that with Lydia, but she never really seemed that interested in them."

"Oh?" Weiss asked, her surprise showing from her mouth forming an 'o'. "What about Snow White did you like?" she asked her roommate, blinking a bit to try and regain her composure but the damage was done by her surprise staying plastered onto her face. "And Lydia is ... your sister? Friend?"

"I honestly don't know why Snow White stuck out to me.." Raven sighed and turned her head to face her roommate's countenance, which shown a small look of disdain and surprise, "I guess it was because my mom kind of looks like the Evil Queen from the book I had, or maybe it's because some of my relatives called me 'Snow White' due to my complexion and hair... Lydia's my sister."

"I don't see Snow White looking like you. You're too purple for one," Weiss said with a light laugh. "As for me, Winter kept referring to me as 'Ice Queen'. I still don't know why but I suppose it's because of how cold I am to people," she shrugged. She didn't think the term meant anything but it didn't sit well with her whenever she was called that.

"You're not that cold towards people..." Raven defended as she sat up, remembering that she hadn't actually unpacked yet. As she levitated the suitcase, she landed it on the coffee table. As she opened it up, she giggled a little bit, "Wow, I did bring a lot of purple... As for when I was younger, purple wasn't my color." She pulled on her streak as she puts some of her clothes in a drawer.

"If purple wasn't your colour, then what was?" Weiss asked quietly, swinging her legs out over the bed to sit up. She placed her hands on either side and leaned forward a bit to look at Raven with a firm gaze. "If I'm not cold, then explain why my siblings and family shunned me."

"I honestly can't explain that, Weiss..." Raven looked away from her gaze and continued to unpack her bags. Her glare, to be completely honest, was a bit icy. "but you're beginning to warm up, so that's always a plus."

Weiss was a bit taken aback by the comment. She didn't expect that comment from someone she just met. Her glare softened and she started to unpack, turning her back to Raven as her face bore a look of confusion. She didn't get why Raven thought she was warming up. This was how she always acted. Putting a few things away in the other set of drawers, Weiss finally turned back to Raven. "Allow me to repeat my question. If purple wasn't your favourite colour, then what was?" Weiss asked of her, standing up straight and holding a couple of white jumpers, one in each hand.

Raven glanced back at her confused roommate, who ignored her again. Perhaps she should have taken back that statement of her warming up... "Uhm, to answer your question," in attempt to lighten the small amount of tension "I'd have to say that it was blue. More of a navy-ish, royal blue to be more specific."

"I don't mean to be ... rude," Weiss sighed finally. "It's just how I always act. Royal blue is a ... nice colour," Weiss smiled softly. She honestly thought it was but ice white was just more like her and her personality. She held the soft smile for a few more seconds before turning back to her unpacking.
