"I don't really know. I guess I was just born with magic, even though the rest of my family minus my stepsister has some sort of supernatural ability..." She calmly explained, " Maybe my birth dad was magical, I'm not sure about that..." Raven then looked behind her, noticing all of the objects that had previously floated midair quickly dropped. "Oh god... I didn't hurt anyone..." she murmured to herself. "You ... don't like levitating objects?" Weiss asked confusedly. "It's a neat trick and will help you out in the long run." "Well... I do, but..." Raven's voice trailed off into nothingness. |

Raven started to explain the reason why Oogway found her in the first place, but she couldn't bring herself to give more details. "People get injured, family gets ashamed... you know that business, right?" |

Her eyes widened though when she saw Raven's eyes glow. "Um, your eyes are glowing." "They are?" Raven asked as she looked in the mirror. She quickly rubbed her eyes in attempt for the glow to stop. "Stop it... Calm down Raven!!! You don't want to get expelled from this school too!!" She broke down crying on the front of her bed. |

She quickly rubbed her eyes in attempt for the glow to stop. "Stop it... Calm down Raven!!! You don't want to get expelled from this school too!!" She broke down crying on the front of her bed. "Um," Weiss was dumbstruck. She had no idea how to handle this kind of situation and resorted to awkwardly fiddling with her fingers in her lap. "Wh ... Why are glowing eyes a sign of expulsion?" she asked hesitantly. |

She broke down crying on the front of her bed. "Um," Weiss was dumbstruck. She had no idea how to handle this kind of situation and resorted to awkwardly fiddling with her fingers in her lap. "Wh ... Why are glowing eyes a sign of expulsion?" she asked hesitantly. Raven sighed and sat back up, "Let me explain... If you couldn't really tell, I'm a very emotional person. Sometime whenever I got really upset or excited, my eyes would glow or my powers would act up. People in my grade took notice of this easily, since I was the only magic user in the entire school (if I wasn't then people hid it really well). They then started to make fun of me for my talents and abilities. On a few occasions, I snapped: knock over a book of theirs telekinetically, simple annoyances until a few days in a row, I ended up in a rampage and I didn't know how to control myself. My principal, in whom I thought I trusted in, decided to pull me aside and publicly call me out on my mishaps... called me a monster.... He then said that he was going to expell me even though there were others doing worse things... I ran away from the school, and then Oogway found me... You happy now? " |

"Even though my family are all magic users, they expected me to follow a set plan that my father had laid out for me. I didn't want to and the only sign that I didn't conform is my side ponytail. It didn't help that I kept fighting my sister with my magic and weapon." |

"What did they want you to do, Weiss, if you don't mind me asking?" Raven awkwardly asked her roommate, for she knew that it was probably a personal issue. She also kept in mind that she had told an almost complete stranger about her anger issues. Also, she wanted to know about fully magical families, but that was another day's business.

"They..." Weiss faltered, unsure if she should really let this person she just met know about her past. Sure, Raven did tell her about her anger issues but that seemed more spur of the moment than anything else. "I do mind so not at the moment. When I get to know you better, maybe, but for now, no. Definitely not at the moment," Weiss told her roommate firmly, crossing her arms over her chest as she stared at Raven.

"I understand..." Raven sighed as she lay back on the bed. "So," she attempted to change the subject to a lighter tone than normal, "what's your favorite color... and why?" Looking at her roommate's outfit and the glyph from earlier, the mystic felt a little stupid for asking that question. Great job at a first impression, Raven... she thought.
