Personality: Yu is distant towards others considering he was raised by his family and how humans can be mean to one another. He mostly makes origami animals from time to time but he's mostly kind to children since he was in situations when he was a kid. He has a sweet tooth and he as smart as a whip. His family is what matters to and he would use his sword to defend his family. He can get shy around girls and he tends to stare at them not knowing what to do.

How he got a letter from the Once-ler's Gang:
Yu and his family were stealing from the market again although they had upgraded their security since Yu stole from the Farmer's Market. The police were after them Gabriella and Gilda went in one direction as Yu went into another. The police had cornered Yu but it was in fact an imposter as the fake Yu snapped his fingers and revealed himself as Discord, while the police were dumbfounded Yu was stealing today's meal, considering he and his family lived in the streets.
As Gilda, Gabby, and Discord loose the law Yu and his family were ready to begin their feast. However Yu saw some kids trying to find the scraps of food they could find and knew what that was like. He then gave his food to the kids as did Gabby and the rest of his family gave the food to them. Yu then ran into a raven haired man with a guitar on his back as he handed him a letter and said, "There's a place for you. Follow the coordinates and we'll see you soon..."
