Personality: Len is very uptight and over protective of Rin.As rude as it sounds,he could care less about what happens to most other people,Rin is the only person he wants to care about and he plans to keep it that way.Len has a kind heart,but he doesn’t show it in a kind way.He can be kind rude and tough on others especially if they mess with Rin in anyway.Len also has a bit of a temper,but the only thing that could trigger his anger is some familiar music.
Their reason for capturing Once-ler's Gang:
Len moved into Madam Mim’s foster home with his older brother,Kaito when he was 8 years old.Len and Kaito had been given up for adoption many years prior because whoever their parents were,didn’t have enough money to take care of them.After a while Len and Kaito had been moved from foster home to foster home until they finally found a permanent foster home with Madam Mim and the other foster children,Miku and Len Hatsune,and Meiko and Gumi Megpoid who were born just a few years later.Since Madam Mim never paid attention or took care of the kids herself,Kaito,Miku,Len,and Rin were the ones who had to take care of the Megpoid twins and do chores around the house.Len and Kaito always took care of outdoor and messy work while Rin and Miku took care of the twins.Len learned that Rin started developing feelings for him as he developed feelings for her too and she didn’t even know it.They’ve been through alot in the foster home and Len was afraid to see it end.On the twins’ 3rd birthday,Madam Mim sold the kids to a shadow man for almost $100,000! Kaito tried to fight for them since he was only a month or so from turning 18,but sadly that didn’t count. When the Len and the other foster kids moved in with Shadowman,he put them under a curse that he called the Obedient Music serum.He poisoned their first meal with this serum and the kids became Shadowman’s little puppet band.Len,along with his foster sisters and older brother,was given a special mic/headset which gave Shadowman the power to control their every move on stage through a special microphone that he used to talk to them.He called his new puppet band the Vocaloids and they became very popular and well known after moving to France.A few years went by and Len only got angrier after watching Kaito and Miku being thrown out of the band.Len was also thrown out after turning 18 years old and he was pissed after Shadowman said that he couldn’t take Rin and the twins with him since the hideout disappeared and that his headset was possibly going to be attached to him forever.Len had to wait 2 years to at least see Rin again,so he decided to go looking for Kaito and Miku during that time.He was never able to find Miku,but he learned that Kaito had gotten into some trouble with a shady mystic man who was suppose to remove his cursed headset,but killed him for the headset instead.Len was furious and hungry for revenge,so he decided to work for Interpol and find out who killed his brother and when he did,the guy was sentenced to eternity in jail.Later on,on Rin’s 18th birthday,Len went back to where the hideout use to be,found Rin,and asked her to become his executive secretary at Interpol that way they will be able to stay close again.Len confessed his love to Rin and asked her to promise to not let anyone know of their past.
~Len’s main motivation for joining Interpol was to find his brother’s killer and he did,but he’s glad he decided to stay after hearing reports of missing children possibly working for Once-ler’s gang.He thought that it might be possible that Miku could possibly be tied to them some how.He wanted to hope that Meiko and Gumi could be linked,but he thought that it’s highly improbable since they haven’t been released from Shadowman quite yet.
