How they got a letter from Once-ler's Gang:
Barbra and Twilight were born the twins of a commissioner in a low part of the city. He was very proud of his girls. The city started to change and one day their father was killed by a billionaire on a case. Twilight and Babs did everything in their power to make ends meet. One day Flint noticed a certain code within his computer that had already been hacked. He wondered who it was doing the hacking and tracked it down to the small hut that Babs and Twilight lived in. Twilight was inside along while Barbra was stealing food. Flint got a look at Babs outfit and gadgets that night and decided to call Winry to come over and she did.
When Winry came over. Winry and Flint went into the hut to talk to the two girls, first assuring that it was okay. The two of them went to discuss matters with the twins in separate rooms, Winry discussed things over with Barbraa and Barbara showed her all her really cool inventions. Winry was very impressed by what Barbara had done and decided that Barbara should attend the Academy. A week later, Barbara received a letter and she and her twin joined the academy.
