It was another bright and sunny day at the beach. A lot of citizens were there to have fun. Rather it be by swimming, surfing, making sand castle, or many other things. For one citizen, part of the reason she was there was to swim. But there was another reason as well.
Luchia Nanami tried to find a spot away from the crowd to set some of her items down. The girl didn’t want to risk anyone finding the place she planned to swim too. After all, if anyone else saw the treasure she saw a few days before they may take it for their own selfish reasons.
She soon stopped around the part of the beach where a cave was close by. She smiled. She seemed to be the only person there, making her work a lot easier.
“Perfect.” Luchia smiled.
She pulled out a mask to help her breath underwater and goggles. The girl put them on along with a bag to carry items. She took on more glance before she droved into the sea.
Under the sea was perfect. Different fishes were swimming around without a care in the world. Luchia would smile to herself if she could. She continued to swim for a bit before she came across her target. It was an old ship, one at looked like had been undersea for many long years. Luchia swimmed through a huge hole on the side of a wall to enter. It took a little bit before she came across her target: Sitting on the table was a large amount of gold coins and many different types of gems. Items that would be able to help a lot of people in need.
Lucia swam over and started to place as much of the coins and gems into the bags as she could. Carefully so some didn’t fall off of the table while she made sure the bag wouldn’t get too heavy for her to carry. After all, she could always make more than one trip if need be. It wasn’t like anyone else would come across this place if she was careful.
‘That should be good for now.’ Luchia thought.
She closed the bag tightly so none of the treasure would fall out on the way back to the surface. She giggled happily in her mind before she started to swam back towards the beach.
(....)
Luchia had dried herself off and put her normal clothing over her swimsuit. She was walking around town while humming a bit to herself. The girl always enjoyed singing but her voice always cracked or sounded terrible whenever she tried to sing in front of a crowd. Largely due to how nervous she got. She stopped humming when she saw a donation building coming into her view. Luchia picked up speed in her walk, almost like a run to some folks. Unknown to her, a red haired woman seemed to be following the young girl.
Luchia opened the door to the building and walked inside. A worker noticed her.
“Oh hello Luchia. Glad to see you today.” The worker smiled.
“Thank you. I’m glad to see you too. I was stopping by to drop off some things I found.” Luchia explained.
“Again? Isn’t this the fifth time this week?” The worker asked, “Shouldn’t you save some of it for yourself?”
“I’ll be fine. Besides, I enjoy helping out.” Luchia explained.
She set the bag on the counter. The worker opened it. His eyes widen in awes at the items inside.
“Amazing…” The worker whispered to himself.
He looked at Luchia.
“You really have a talent.” The worker said.
“You think so?” Luchia asked.
While the two continued talking, the red haired woman walked up to the building. She spotted Luchia through the window and watched as the girl was given the empty bag back. The woman noticed the coins and gems being left behind. She smiled to herself.
‘Perfect.’ The woman thought.
Luchia started to walk out of the building.
“Excuse me!”
Luchia quickly stopped. The woman walked over to Luchia, the girl confused.
“Un, yes? Is there something I can help you with?” Luchia asked.
“If you don’t mind me asking, what is your name? My name is Ariel.” The woman, Ariel said.
“Oh, I’m Luchia Nanami.” Luchia said with a smile.
“I see. Nice to meet you Luchia. I admit, that was a nice thing you did back there.” Ariel said.
Luchia blinked a bit in surprise.
“You saw all of that?” Luchia asked.
Ariel nodded. She pulled out a letter and held it out to the girl.
“I did along with your swimming skills. I think you will be a perfect fit for this school.” Ariel said.
She than paused.
“Course, now at I think about it, I think one of my friends mentioned another person with the same last name.” Ariel said.
“D-Do you mean Chiaki?” Luchia asked, surprised.
Ariel paused. She soon nodded.
“Yes, that’s right. I’m guessing she’s a family member.” Ariel said, going off of Luchia’s reaction.
“Yes: She’s my cousin!” Luchia exclaimed, “Is she going to be a student too?”
“I would image.” Ariel said with a smile, “But what about you?”
Luchia looked down to her letter. Hearing Chiaki was going made her excited. Since they lived in different towns, they didn’t get to see each other a lot. She looked up as Ariel and smiled.
“Course I’ll go!” Luchia exclaimed cheerfully, “It sounds like it will be fun!”
