Sinbad was born in the slums of a far off country. Sinbad and his family were often hated by the other villagers. When his dad returned from war, he had only one leg. Sinbad vowed that things would change. He went around the world studying the craft of blacksmith making and sword fighting. He also stole from women from time to time. He had many an adventure and caused a bit of trouble, but always ended up with the guy liking him. Sinbad ended up in Paris one day and ended up in a blacksmithing tournament. There was where Bismuth met him having a sword fight with a rich person trying to protect a little girl. Bismuth was impressed by the young man and offered him to come to the academy. He accepted and is now a student.
