Personality: Sly Cooper is a very cool and collected thief. He uses his wit and charms to get around most situations and around other people especially women he is considered a true gentleman. He is able to keep his calm even in a difficult situation. He is loyal to his friends and would be willing to sacrafice himself in order to protect them.

How they got a letter from Once-ler: Sly Cooper comes from the Copper family, a long line of thieves. They only steal from other thieves. As a youn child, Sly's family was murdered by a group of villians who stole an important book that contained all the secrets of the cooper family. Landing him in an orphanage where he met his fellow gang members. They spent their time getting the book back for sly and solving many crimes, while avoiding Interpol. (not including falling for Inspector Carmeliia Fox) However, during one of their missions Bentley was injured. It broke sly's heart he couldn't protect his friends. On a solo heist he ran into a man named Onceler who had heard about his gang and their many legacies. He offered a chance for Sly to join, Sly agreed in exchange that Bentley and Murray would be protected from further harm.
