Pearl tries to be rational in unfamiliar situations, though she can become stressed out easily. Pearl’s very organized and she always knows when something she has organized is out of place. Pearl has been running from a past she barely remembers for a long time. Her parents are powerful people who have destroyed many lives, which extended to Pearl who was raised to be a living weapon. Pearl soon came to resent what her parents had did to her and tried tried to correct her parents wrongs by charity but it never seemed to make much of a difference.
One night, Pearl, her mother and her sister Holly ended up in an accident, where her mother and Holly lost her life, Pearl her memory. Seeing an opportunity, her father disinherited Pearl and left her for dead.
With nothing, Pearl went and found a job at a nightclub; she ended up making friends with the nightclub’s owner who took her in as a daughter. Lucille was once a grifter but had turned over a new leaf…so to speak…and had started the night club as a cover to train other grifters which she taught Pearl all about the art of the con.
Though her memories never really came back, Pearl did remember her parent’s deeds and became convinced that they might be the cause of her memory lost. Pearl put her new skills to use and was able to finally help the people her parents had hurt.
While on a job for Lucille, Pearl met Rapunzel who was impressed with her skills and offered to enroll at the school, Pearl turned down Rapunzel’s offer. A few days later, Interpol took down the nightclub in a raid and arrested Lucille. Pearl and a few of the other girls managed to get out, they charmed their way into Interpol and managed to get Lucille and the other girls out but Lucille insisted that everyone went their separate ways. Pearl met Rapunzel again and this time accepted her offer to go to the school.
