He could be oblivious and the on to ask questions in certain situations, such as the time when he was going hunting for rich items, with Petra. He does worry about getting in trouble with the police; but, as long as he has confidence in himself, he would start to feel better about going on "risky" missions. He sometimes dislikes the idea of him being a thief, but after he learned that being one is not that bad, he started to feel more comfortable with being one, as long as he does follow her orders. When it comes to school work, he sometimes gets distracted but, tries to at least get it done, whenever he does get the time or motivation to do it, he's not lazy, he just has anxiety. As he finally got his training from Petra, he started to get used to being a thief. When being around other students, he's a little social, but is mainly shy, especially around girls, but doesn't focus too much on getting a girlfriend, as he concentrates on work. He sometimes is the listener, but tries to at least join a conversation if he wants to. Although he's quiet, he does try to at least be a good listener. Whenever there is arguments going around, Lukas does try to stay out of it, and it necessary, he does try to be a peacemaker. Like Petra, he's very loyal to his friends, including his cousin and adoptive mother. Overall, unlike Petra, Lukas is more talkative, but more naive.
Style of thieving: Like Petra, Luka's style of "stealing" is being a thief. He does try to steal in more of sneaky way by using objects such as simple, clothespins to go through doors, and even other objects to steal items. He sometimes uses other objects such as rocks, but not that often. Like Petra, he does try to get his "victims" distracted to and then, steal the items. He doesn't use complex weapons like guns, but instead, objects to get in and out of rooms.
How they got a letter from Once-Ler's Gang: Lukas, before going to become a thief, did live with his parents when they were both police officers in the city. He saw them stopping thieves at night, and even busted them to go to jail. Unfortunately, his parents due to them being shot by robbers, so, Lukas became frightened of being a thief, until he moved in with Petra and her mother. Once he was there, Petra did reveal to him that she and her mother were thieves, and at first, Lukas got scared, thinking he was going to get attacked by them. Petra, seeing her cousin panic, told him that she was a thief to steal from the rich and giving the items to the people who really need it. Lukas, hearing that, started to feel better about try it to be one. So, as the duo went off and did the missions together, Lukas started to get used to being one, and of course, liking the idea of giving the items to those who really need it. As Lukas started to get more and more used to the fact that on "stealing" from the rich was necessary, he felt like a rebel, but it was worth the time. One night, when Lukas and Petra were stealing jewelry from a mansion, they both came across a young black haired woman, and she revealed thar she was seeing the action that went on between Petra and Lukas. Lukas, hearing that she was a teacher on how to be a "thief", started to feel comfortable toward her and the idea of becoming a "good" stealer instead of being accused of becoming a criminal. So, after getting to know Mavis and seeing that Petra was liking the idea of the "Leverage" Academy, he thought that applying would not be bad. So, as soon as he and Petra got back to her house on that very night, they didn't bother to tell her mother about meeting Mavis. Two days later, there was a letter that came for the both of them, saying that they were accepted into the academy. Lukas, once again, thinking about that conversation with Mavis, thought that the school would not be a bad idea. He just hoped that he would come out as a "good" their instead of a criminal, like Petra's mother at one point in her life before being bailed out. He just had high expectations of the school when he and Petra took a small tour of the place, which was guided by Mavis. At the end of the small visit, Luka's expectations went up once again, thinking that Leverage would be a good fit for the both of them.
