Personality: Alvin is a very cool, calm and collected young man. He comes off as very suave (especially around the ladies)and it is clear that he knows that he is good at his job. While he often tease people, he does it to show that he cares about them in his own way. No one is sure why, but Alvin rarely talks about his past or about himself and doesn't like to mention anything of the sort. He is known to be very smooth and knows his way out of a situation should it arise. He can come off as selfish at times and that can often be a hiderence on people. Around ladies, he comes off as flirty and charming, a true gentleman. He knows how to work a room and is good at reading people, often asking questions in order to learn about them. He has a big heart, even if he doesn't show it, especially around children. While he would rather not use violence, he knows that violence sometimes is the only way out of a situation. When Alvin is on the job, he is always thinking calculating, a few steps ahead of his opponent in case things go wrong.

How they got a letter from Once-ler: As far as people know, Alvin's life before joining Leverage Academy are unknown. Meaning Alvin has not told anyone. Before joining Leverage Academy, Alvin spent most of his time as a mercenary for hire often killing animals that were threatening a village or just learning about a person. Alvin did it for money. No one knew about his life and no one asked. During his free time, he managed to corner a little girl who had been caught stealing. In order to get the cops to not arrest her, he told them that the little girl was his sister. They bought it. The girl he met was named Elize, a young orphan mystic who was just trying to survive on her own.
Alvin wasn't sure why but he wanted to protect Elize and he did so. The two went on their way. Alvin learned about Elize's power of illusion and she learned how to charm her way into getting things like food, often this wasn't an issue though. Alvin stealing was easy enough he only stole from people who deserved it. Elize was never allowed to be on these jobs in case they got too dangerous. During one of his jobs, Alvin ran into a young blonde woman who was after the same item. A necklace that belonged to a young woman who had lost her husband in war. The woman's name was Rapunzel, and she saw the way Alvin could put on a show no matter the situation. She admired that he knew what he was doing. She offered him a chance to join Leverage Academy. Alvin was hestiant, after all he didn't want to abandon Elize. Rapunzel said that mystics were welcome but she would have to prove herself to the teacher.
Alvin agreed to join. But with his own motive in mind.
