Taran’s siblings and friends call him a control freak all the time,which is true,but he doesn’t want to believe it.While everyone seems him as a bossy kid,Taran sees himself as the closest thing to a father figure for Peter,Penny,and even himself.

Taran grew up in an orphanage ever since his younger siblings,Peter and Penny,were born and there was no trace of their parents.Growing up Taran has always been a bit of a easily angered kid growing up and he hated the orphanage.The orphanage was poor and filled with almost a hungry kids dozen kids,so he devised his first heist.The plan was to break into the headmaster’s vault that was hidden underneath their house while Penny acted as a distraction and Peter bombed the vault open at night and in about one week’s time it worked.The money went to the orphanage and the headmaster was “mysteriously” broke.The day right after their heist,Taran had a last minute adoption interview,which was strange because usually no one would want to adopt a teen at their orphanage.To Taran’s surprise,he was having an interview with Once-ler and it wasn’t for an adoption,NOPE,it was about an invitation to Leverage Academy.Once-ler said that he knew about the heist because of Rapunzel and Bismuth who were secretly keeping an eye on Penny and Peter.So Once-ler invited Taran to the academy,impressed by his smart thinking and planning.
