Another hard day at work. Winry Rockbell was making the gadgets needed for the team’s next job. She smiled at the shiny metal being formed into place. Each gadget was a work of art to her and showed a part of the soul of the creator. They had to be at their best if they would be useful. Perhaps that was the reason she worked as hard as she did. So she new the gadgets would be in their best shape when it came time for their use.
“Alright, that should be it.” Winry said with a small smile.
She set the gadget on the table. It was a small robotic fly of some type. Would be useful to spy on the guards of the building.
The blond haired woman glanced towards a list she had on the table. All were of possible future students. Hard to believe, Once-Ler had an idea for a school of thieves. Winry was a bit questionable on the idea at first. After all, it seemed like a good way for Interpol to find them. But she started to think on all the people they could help with just forming the school alone. There was most likely teenagers and even little kids on the streets, stealing to get by every day. With the school, they could finally have a place to call home and sharpen their skills in a career that truly helped people.
‘I’m sure it will go well. After all, we’ve outsmarted Interpol many times before.’ Winry thought.
She smiled a bit to herself. All the good memories of past heists. As a kid, she never imagined being a thief. She thought she would had opened a shop like her grandmother had before her and helped people out in that fashion. Thinking back, had it not been for that terrible company owner, she never would have met Once-Ler or the others.
“Guess that creep was an angel in disgust in some ways.” Winry whispered to herself. “Had it not been for him, who knows where I would be now.”
She laughed a bit to herself.
“Hard to believe...I’m about to become a teacher.” Winry said, “I never thought a day like that would come.”
She looked over the list. All ten were ones she came across at different points and either send letters to or met them in person. Each of them with bright minds. She could tell they had a great future ahead of them.
She glanced to the clock and quickly noticed the time.
“Crap, is it getting that late?! I better get a move on if I want to be finished in time!” Winry exclaimed.
She grabbed her tools needed and looked towards the blue prints of her next gadget. A small smile formed on her face before she looked serious. A face she always made when she was focused on the gadget she was designing at the time.
“Time to get back to work.”
