Name: Utena Tenjou
Age: 18
Family: Lapis (adoptive sister), Un-named Grand Uncle
Personality: After her parent’s death, Utena took on tomboyish traits wanting to embody the ways of knights of old, brave, selfless and loyal to her cause to protect people. She’s honest and friendly, able to get along with people easily even if they aren’t her friends…for the most part that is. Utena can be naïve, wanting to believe in the best of people and hold on to the belief that people can change even when it seems hopeless. She would do anything to protect anyone close to her, which at times can cloud her judgment.
Style of thieving: Mastermind
Back-story: Utena had two loving parents who loved her, they didn’t have much but what they did have they were grateful for. Her father worked for a very powerful man who he thought was good until her father found out that he was embezzling money.
Utena’s father was going to tell the authority about what he had uncovered but he and Utena’s mother were killed before that. With only Utena’s word, the police could do nothing but to keep her safe, Utena was sent to live with her Grand Uncle in the country side for her own protection.
While at her Grand Uncle’s house, she fell into despair…she wanted to just lay on her bed and wait for death to take her. That’s when she heard a voice, telling her to not give up. Utena followed the voice until she found an old antique mirror, behind the glass she could see a young girl who seemed to be in a lot of pain.
Utena reached out to her but was repelled by a force. She cried out, wanting to help the girl, wanting to save her and free her of her pain. The mirror shattered and in a bright light the girl came though into the house with Utena. The other girl introduced herself as Lapis Lazuli and thanked Utena for freeing her.
Utena adopted Lapis as her sister and her Grand Uncle welcomed her into the family as well. A box arrived the morning after Lapis came, inside was a collection of her father’s personal effects including a signage ring that had a rose on it and a book of all who had been involved in embezzling money in the company.
How they got a letter from Once-ler or one of his members of his gang:
She never took the book to the police, instead Utena kept it to herself and with Lapis’ help she has been going after the people who were responsible for killing her parents by exposing them for their crimes. It was after one of these jobs that Once-ler and Ariel approached the sisters at their house and offered them a place at the school, they accepted and Utena hopes that it’ll help Lapis open up more…which is why she asked if her sister could be put on another team besides her own.
