Personality: He's mostly grumpy and he's what most people Japan call him a 'tsundere'. He has a soft spot for sweets, Shifty the thieving silver fox show and plushies, and pork noodles. He even says the opposite when he's embarrassed and he gets excited when he talks about the anime show Shifty's Thieving Adventures. He is always looking for limited addition plushies of Shifty and gets shy when he gets complimented on.

How he got a letter from the Once-ler's Gang:
Arata got bored easily and considering he was intelligent he decided to hack into criminal's data banks and well...stealing it and send it to families who needed it the most. He even hacked to get into all of the Comic-Con and Wonder-Cons he could get into even the Academy Awards for the animated pictures. He made sure he stayed fit though even though he is a hacker. He made sure to cover his tracks and wants to become public enemy to Interpol.
One night after watching the Shifty marathon, he stumble onto some files he was looking at and thought he could hack into. He tried hacking into it and finally cracked however it turned out to be a virus and Arata had to make sure that all of his files weren't infected let along getting lost including all of the season of Shifty's Adventures. He managed to save his computer and an email popped up and it was Flint Lockwood who send the virus but he wanted to test his abilities before inviting him to the school...plus he would get the access to every Shifty Adventure episode that wasn't created yet to persuade him...
For Arata he wanted those episodes and questions that needed answering...about this gang's intentions...
